Quitter Twitter: Notes from partin', partyin' "Sayonara Sarah"

UPDATE:  The video is a moving picture version of this commentary, complete with music.  Enjoy.

Gov. Sarah "Quitter" Palin

Sayonara Sarah Palin made news today with a tweet.  Well, it was part of a tweet.

“10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site,” she tweeted.

Wow!  Pack ‘em up Palin will be speaking her mind on a personal Twitter site once the shackles of state government are removed.

Hello?

Can anyone tell me what is to keep her from opening a personal account now?  I mean can anyone think of a reason besides she is too much of a dim bulb to realize it?

However, that was just part of a much larger, multi-tweet the gone fishing gov put out.  In total, the three-part message read:

Inauguration will salute AKs 50th Anniversary & military & launches LtGov into Gov’s office so AK avoids politics-as-usual lame duck session

Planning inauguration w/LtGov in 10 days, Frbanks. W/same cabinet, same positive pro-AK agenda it’s all good, consistent success bc everyone

elected is replaceable;Ak WILL progress! + side benefit=10 dys til less politically correct twitters fly frm my fingertps outside State site

I’ll stay in touch w/whomever wants via personal twtr site;launch July 26;in meantime it’s pleasure to update interested folks on State biz!

Did you get that?  They are planning an inauguration ceremony to celebrate Take a Powder Palin bailing out of her job and handing it over to the lieutant governor.  In these cases, isn’t the transfer of power a bit more discrete?  Just goes to show that Caribou Barbie does not have an ounce of shame.

What's driving you crazy?

The reason for her not opening a personal account is likely that it is a breech of official policy.  Nothing more.

The attack fest continues.. The more folks write about her the more she remains relevant.  For me I haven't wrote about her in months as she is not important to what is going on in US Politics.  All in all its nice to see my friend writing again...

So, and Sarah Palin is responsible for appointing Goldman Sachs executives to regulate Goldman Sachs? No.

Then, Sarah Palin is responsible for passing a stimulus bill that will take too long to have an effect, and will spend too little money on important projects? No.

Then, Sarah Palin is responsible for canceling or attempting to cancel the missile defense project, while North Korea threatens us with violence and actually throws missiles at us, having gone back to making nukes, specifically outlawed by the UN? No.

Then, Sarah Palin is responsible for, uh, not posting bills on-line for five days so that the public can read them and is responsible for not stopping the earmarks and the waste? No.

Gee, then, what is it that Palin is responsible for? Doing a good job in Alaska? Raising taxes on the oil companies? Cleaning up corruption there? Choosing not to abort her Down's Syndrome child? Shooting some wolves from a helicopter? Being admired by Camille Paglia, an intellectual of the left and by Willy Brown, one of California's most brilliant democratic politicians?

Really, I think that being threatened by Palin means that her own strong feminine huntress nature and sexuality are a threat. Being threatened by Palin means that her own commitment to her version of what is correct morally is a threat.

Let's not forget that her acceptance speech as a vice-presidential candidate was the best mocking of Obama that has been done, and that McCain led in the polls after that until the financial meltdown.. Isn't that why we resent her? That rube dared to mock the chosen one?

And, yes, she talks like a middle-class woman from the movie  "Fargo", and she is as apparently decent as that funny-sounding police detective who doggedly solves the crime.

So, let's excoriate her. And let's not talk about Obama's economic policies and how much they are just like George Bush's or how Don't-Ask-Don't-Tell is still in place or how we are still in Iraq and Afghanistan.

No, the most important political issue in the US today is how to mock Palin. That will solve all our problems.

Distractionist as usual..normal Republican hack sleight of hand. The article concerns Palin. Your diatribe is a list of opinionated non-fact based accusations about Obama's shortcomings. The issue at question is Plain and her Twitter account. Nice try in changing the subject to your talking points again though Roy the C

She could be a lot worse. Remember Marion Barry......something about crack cocaine and hookers? Oh, but he is a black Democrat so we better not make fun of him or we will most certainly be labelled racist. I am sure he is a very nice man when he is not jacked up on rock and banging crack ho's.

pros of Palin:

Shes cute, shes got charisma, shes a woman, shes not going to die anytime soon, shes persistent

Cons of Palin:

Her views toward wildlife and nature are rediculous ex. pointless aerial shooting of wolves, shes not very well informed of current Events, she never answers a question, she has a family still needing to be taken care of, she wouldnt be able to do any better than Obama, she would not last as president, makes poor decisions, shes an unrealistic "typical lying politician" that doesnt know what shes getting herself into if she gets elected.

If palin becomes president, i will leave this country.

P.S>Give obama some time to complete what he promised, its only been a couple of months
