Severed Feet

The positive identification of one if the severed foot found floating in BC waters is one step in being solved, with a Washington state Coroner requesting information on the other severed feet found, in an attempt to identify one man found floating in Washington state waters, sans arms and feet.

Perhaps after years of wonder, this mystery may finally get solved.

Police identify one 'mystery foot' owner 'Depressed man' won't be named until family notified Tim Lai, Vancouver Sun

Published: Saturday, July 19, 2008

A Washington state coroner said Friday that he wants to work with the B.C. Coroners Service to see if there's a connection between footless skeletal remains discovered in the San Juan Islands and the mysterious feet that have washed ashore in southwest B.C.

San Juan County coroner Randall Gaylord said a body was discovered by a hiker on Orcas Island in the San Juan archipelago in March 2007. The body did not have a right arm, right hand, left hand or any feet.

The body had some gold inlays on the molars. It belonged to a male about 5-foot-9 and could be Caucasian, Asian or aboriginal, and possibly more than 30 years old.

Gaylord said he called the B.C. Coroners service on Thursday to initiate the sharing of information.

Meanwhile, Global TV reported Friday that RCMP had identified one of the five severed feet as belonging to a depressed man who was missing. RCMP Cpl. Pierre LeMaitre said police had ruled out foul play. Police planned to talk to the man's family Friday. More information may be released next week.

RCMP could not be reached Friday to confirm the report.

All the feet found in B.C. waters appeared to have been "naturally" separated  from the body, RCMP said last week.

Your welcome Amy, one can be sure the guy who got a million dollars taken away from him by US Customs will tragically make the news next week, as Criminal groups aint to fond of losing that much coin, so perhaps another foot washed story will be in the works.
