Ralph Nader buries Obama hopes
Ralph Nader has entered presidential race and launched an independent campaign for the White House yesterday. Nader, a high-profile consumer rights advocate who is 74 this week, ran as a third party candidate in 2000 and won almost 2.9 million votes. Nader said he is running because mainstream candidates are too closely tied to corporate America. What do Obama, Hillary, columnists and experts think about it? Read about reactions from the Democratic candidates on Sunday.

As this story simply identifies the news that Nader has declared his candidacy, I would suggest that you amend your headline to that effect.
And, as to whether or not Nader will actually 'bury Obama's hopes', if this is your view, you should elaborate your point and add it to the text of the story itself.
I personally wonder what impact Nader's candidacy will have, given the developed stage of the Democractic campaigns. "It's been a long time running" for Nader but, this time around, Barack Obama is the one rallying the young people and high profile artists and musicians that might have once put their celebrity muscle behind Ralph. I believe that it will be hard to hear Nader's voice for change, as the roar of Obama's 'Yes We Can' supporters grows ever larger and louder.
Pardon, but exactly where is headline borne out by the content? I could not find even any statement to that effect in the jump.
Many of the fringe right (in other posts, in other venues and in other media) have gleefully cheered the Nader candidacy. Granted, polls show a close race between the two.
However, this is not 2004. There is excitement about this election.
True, the BS Swiftboat has yet to form its armada of lies, insults and cheap shots. However, the crew is having trouble determining the target. Is it Hillary or Obama? Is it McCain (that scumbag). No, its the New York Times because it was shooting at McCain before we could.
Actually, I think the election will be decided as much by the disaffected conservatives (ewww McCain) and crushed supporters of whichever Democrat loses.
i think this headline is by far too sensational and speculative...
the headline is merely a reflection of that sentiment on mainstream news, which in itself is speculative and based only on Nader's influence last time in the tight White House race.
It may be that he buries the increasingly eratic Clinton
Obama will be buried by Nader just as this headline will make it to the NY Times front page ;)
