Fla., May 16 (UPI) -- A 16-year-old girl posted a video on
YouTube pleading for help after her rape case was dismissed by the Orange
County, Fla., state attorney's office.

The girl, referred to by CNN only
as Crystal, is one of many teens who use the Internet to seek comfort after
saying they were sexually assaulted.

"Hi, my name is Crystal. ... I need
some help. I didn't want to do it this way, but it's the only way I know that's
going to work, that someone out there in the world is gonna listen to me," she
says in the video.

Some rape victim advocates have said turning to the
Internet for help may be a harmful choice because it exposes too much personal
information including names, pictures and hometowns, CNN
said.

It is brilliant.  The only way to get public officials attention is to make a political issue of it.  No politician these days wants to be seen as not standing up for a young alleged rape victim.  I think she is acting in a very restrained mannor.  She could have asked for help getting even with her attacker.  I applaud her courage and resourcefulness.

I hate when justice is only for thief, rich people, or those one who don't have enough brain to know that you shouldn't put a cat inside a microwave. What are they waiting to help this poor girl?

Politisite, thanks for sharing this story because it's good stuff.

Just checked out the video on You tube and the video description is a message from the girl saying here Youtube account was hacked.  She goes on to say she's sorry if you received an email.

I really hope someone can help her.
