Raymond Clark III was arrested as a suspect in the murder of Annie Le, the Yale student found strangled in a lab on the New Haven, CT campus. Raymond Clark III, arrested today based on additional circumstantial evidence, had previously given DNA evidence to New Haven police, the results of which are yet to be fully analyzed. Currently in police custody, Raymond Clark III's bond was set at $3 million. Also this led to a spike in search traffic looking for a Raymond Clark III Facebook page.
According to New Haven Police Chief James Lewis, there was no evidence of sexual assault.
"Based on numerous interviews, forensic evidence, and information learned from viewing video surveillance, detectives have secured the arrest warrant for Clark," New Haven Police Chief James Lewis said.

This is certainly a horrible crime. Did anyone happen to catch forensic psychiatrist Michael Welner's opinon regarding it?(www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzgnU61a9d0) I think Dr. Welner makes some important distinctions--he emphasizes that the public shouldn't assume this was a crime of passion, or even a premediated murder. Furthermore, his interpretation about Annie's race adds another dynamic and should be considered.I think this clip is important for anyone reading about the murder--it distinguishes between assumptions the public shouldn't make, and what forensic psychiatry can tell from the evidence that actually is there.
