The REAL (and only reasonable) explanation behind the Vatican sex scandals_

The RC pedophile scandals won't go away.  Allegations of child abuse by RC priests in Ireland, Germany, Wisconsin and now Italy have surfaced.  The question must inevitably be asked - did the pope, then Cardinal Ratzinger have knowledge of pedophiles and suppress the files on them.

While not all acknowledged being victims, 14 of the 67 wrote statements and made videotapes, detailing abuse they suffered, some for years, at the hands of priests and brothers of the Congregation for the Company of Mary. They named 24 priests, brothers and lay religious men. Bisoli also accused the late bishop of Verona of assaulting him.

This latest bombshell was dropped on the Italian state run RAI television.  It bears parallels to the emerging knowledge about abuse suffered at the hands of priests in a school for the deaf in Wisconsin where the abused tried for years to get Rev. Murphy removed from the school.  The boys in the Verona school, also deaf, have been asking for justice as well.

The present pope, then Cardinal Ratzinger has headed the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith which is the area of the RC church that deals with heresy.  The cardinal did institute a policy that allegations of sexual abuse within the church be reported to the Congregation, but stopped short of reporting these allegations to the police.

An RC Explanation of Pedophilia - The Devil Made Them Do It

An astounding explanation of why the priests sexually abused children in their care comes from Father Gabriele Amorth an exorcist at the Vatican.  He asserted in an interview that the Devil tempted these criminals and that they gave in to temptation.

As a child abuse scandal sweeps across Europe, with accusations being made against priests in Ireland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, Amorth said the pedophiles are tempted, not possessed.
