Michelle Malkin was up burning the midnight oil - received the PDF of the 780+ pages of the remake amendment put forth with the aid of Republican Senators Collins, Snowe, and Specter.

Let the backstabbing of the American taxpayer begin!

The full, cave-in “compromise” porkulus amendment of GOP Sens. Collins, Specter, and Snowe finally arrived in my inbox tonight at 11:14pm Eastern.

So, your representatives of the “most deliberative body in the world” have barely a day to digest and debate the 100-page legislative text before rushing to vote on cloture Monday evening.

Like Dave Ramsey says: “Desperate always reap stupid.”

I’m uploading the whole thing for you so you can see it, too.

Get out your hip-waders.

Highlights coming.

In the meantime, make note of this observation from Justin Hart in response to the earlier chart outlining the Sellout Amendment’s bottom-line spending statistics:

(all numbers in the MILLIONS of course)
Agriculture: $5,109,430
Commerce: $21,513,000
Defense: $3,746,000
Energy & Water: $53,843,000
Financial & Gen. Govt: $10,762,000
Homeland Security: $5,076,700
Interior: $11,643,600
Labor, HHS, Education: $169,184,000
Military & VA: $7,428,295
THUD: $60,580,500
Appropriations: $365,629,525 (of course, this one isn’t broken out)

Bottom line: Global Warming, Government Healthcare, Teachers Unions, School Building Contractors, Subsidized Housing, and MASSIVE Pork.

Thanks, Turncoat Caucus.

Please read and report back here - vote is expected on Monday with the three Republican Senators willing to sell taxpayer futures to this socialistic vision.

Sounds like a pricey PDF file!

As they say, if you have to ask the price ... you can not afford it!

$900 Billion (with 2/3rds of it in pure Government spending) will give North America Carter era "Stagflation" (look it up - this will happen).

At least someone has finally read the darn thing.  It amazes me that so consequential a piece of legislation is being rushed through with little if any forethought, and even less debate.  Good to see you Ed.

Senator Susan Collins, R-Maine said she broke ranks with her party because of the progress congressional negotiators had made on the bill.

"Well, I know that some of my Republican colleagues are unhappy with the position that I've taken," Collins told FOX News on Saturday. "I hope they will look at the fact that we were able to cut $110 billion of unnecessary spending from this bill. I think that's a good accomplishment. I also think that it's important that we do pass a stimulus bill to help turn the economy around."

Snowe has kept a low profile since the deal was struck, while Specter said Friday night that the agreement wasn't perfect but it was necessary.

Not everyone agrees - Obviously.

Here are the phone numbers for the Pork-O-Polusa Republicans (if your Senator is a Democrat and you believe as the Congressional Budget Office believes - please call him/her and tell them you do not want a Pork-O-Polusa debt building spending package to pass):

    Collins (202) 224-2523
    Snowe (202) 224-5344
    Specter (202) 224-4254
