REAL Citizen Journalists Talk to the Presidential Candidates

by PurpleStates | April 8, 2008 at 02:06 pm | 552 views | 3 comments

The five Purple States citizen journalists talk about what it's like to be on the campaign trail for the first time, and what it's like to to get face time with the candidates.

Purple States is a dynamic, interactive news program featuring the journey of five randomly-selected ordinary citizens who follow the presidential campaign trail.  The video featured to the right of this article is the latest installment of the series, and chronicles the team's five month journey, how they went from fledgling reporters to saavy news hounds.

All the Purple States episodes, the citizen journalists' blogs, and the Purple States discussion boards can be found at www.purplestates.tv.  Come join the conversation!

Purple States is also regularly featured on the NYTimes.com.  All the NYTimes.com episodes can be found here.

good stuff:

PurpleStates, Please give us a synopsis of the interviews in the body of your article as well.  Part of this video is from the debate that I blogged for NP from Myrtle Beach. I was in the spin room and the video caught me a few times.  They did a pretty good job for CJs
