Real IRA blamed for Belfast riots
The Real IRA has been blamed by Sinn Fein for trouble in north Belfast.
At least one shot was fired at police by republicans and there were other disturbances after Orange Order parades across Northern Ireland.
Thirteen police officers were hurt across Northern Ireland and baton rounds and water cannon were used.
Earlier in Killyleagh, County Down, a female spectator was killed and a nine-year-old boy injured when they were hit by a car involved in a parade.
Terrorism is still alive in Northern Ireland and I can never see an ending to the troubles even now that Sinn Fein has political power and members of the old IRA are now politicians voicing opinions in NI's Parliment. But I do wish the Loyalist would stop these orange day marches as it does fire up old resentments like a red cloth to a bull.

Everyone, Republican or otherwise, has their own particular part to play. No part is too great or too small; no one is too old or too young to do something.
