Real Radio 104.1's Shannon Burke was arrested yesterday and charged with shooting his wife and his dog, a King Charles Spainel, who are both going to be ok.

It is thought that Burke (full name Edward Shannon Burke), became angry at his dog and threatened to fire on it, but then the gun accidentially went off and went through his dog's leg and hit his wife Catherine on the side of the head.

He has been charged with aggravated battery and animal cruelty, and is set to make an appearance in court this afternoon. He is being held in Seminole County Jail.

In a recording of Burke's 911 call, he tells the dispatcher he was playing with a gun that he didn't know was loaded, and it went off. He says the bullet struck the side of his wife's head.

Burke is on RealRadio 104.1 every day from 11am to 3pm.

Some people feel anxious these days.  Poor doggie.  I hope the wife takes a lesson and either insists that her husband get help for his mental state or gets out of there before she antagonizes him next.  She is a bigger target and may not move as fast as their dog could.

This is just plain disgusting.  He needs serious help.  What did a poor little 10 lb. dog do to ever deserve being shot!??  Now it may lose it's leg because of this idiot's actions.  At least the wife has the option to leave him....the poor dog has no choice.  Shannon's career is over so maybe he would do better volunteering at a woman's shelter, or SPCA, or both!!  I did not think Shannon would do this. SBK is the one who hates animals, but I never knew Shannon would stoop so low. Guess I was wrong.

It was obviously an accident but judging from the reactionary nimrods who have commented already....he's a demon. Idiots that live in glass houses make me sick.

If Clear Channel even keeps this Scumbag/Puke,on the air, there'll be thousands of Former Listeners Moveing on.,according to Petitions going around, and Email Traffic.

There's a Plan to Boycot Sponcers,as well.Put that in your Corp.Pipe, and Suck on it.

Who the hell waves a Glock around coz their haveing a disute with the  old Lady???   {Who Evedently is also suffering from "Terminal Poor Taste",in men}.Please,Spare me.

I'm more pissed about the Poor little Dog.What the hell did it do,Lick somebody???

There should also be an IQ Test,to even own a Gun,which this Illiterate,Fugly Ass Wipe would Misserably Fail.....Mr Macho "BOY"..and seudo Biker/tough BOY.

Any Dullard, that Messes with Women, and Animals, should be Tared and Chicken Feathered in this Delousional Alkees sorry case. How did he miss the Kid too.?

My advise ?; Turn the gun on himself, which could only improve his Fugly Faceial Neanderthol,Drunken,Jail Bird Image.

'Dead Air', will be much appreciated in his sad case.

I'll ONLY Listen to Jim Phillips, from now on,or I'll have to Lock and Load.

All I can say is ClearChannel had no option but to let him go. He broke the law and being a felon doesn't look good from a PR standpoint.

From a personal note:  Takes a big man with a gun  to take on a dog and wife.  He really is a gutless A**Hole and deserves what he is getting or gets.

LOL   - Shannon you just threw your career and show down the drain. Hope it was worth it. Maybe next time you'll think before being egotistic and letting your macho cowardly self get to you.
