Rebekah Brooks, former NOTW and Sun editor and News International CEO, was one of ten people arrested so far over the scandal. Like Rupert and James Murdoch, she has claimed ignorance of the widespread misconduct that has sunk NOTW.

She opened the proceedings for apologizing for the scandal. Unlike the Murdochs, she has a lawyer with her: since she was arrested, she'll be advised on what she can and cannot say in relation to the criminal investigation.

Rebekah Brooks' task: to convince Parliament that someone canny enough to work her way up from secretary to News International CEO didn't know what was going on during the years of phone hacking at NOTW.
