The USAjobs.gov site for government jobs created specifically from The Recovery Act lists only 87 jobs when searched.

The Obama administration has promised to create thousands of new jobs to fight the effects of a global recession.

The Recovery Act website claims that the administration is hard at work creating jobs:

It’s been a little over 100 days since the Recovery Act was signed by the President.  We’ve come a long way –- we’ve created or saved over 150,000 jobs, cut taxes for 95 percent of working families and made funds available for over 4,000 transportation projects.

Yet Mainstreet News uncovered that there have only been 88 new jobs government job posting listed as a direct result of the Recovery Act by searching the USAJOBS website, 'the official job site of the US Federal Government'.

You can perform your own search by going to the USAJOBS site.

If you do a search within recovery jobs, across all states and within all fields, you’ll find that the government lists only 87 open positions that are the direct result of the recovery bill.
