Red Bull Air Races Bring New Life to Windsor ON

Windsor has been transformed! For a few days anyway.... The Red Bull Air Races are giving new hope to the citizens of Windsor who have been hit hard by the recession, a 9-week city workers' strike and the new passport laws which have reduced American visitors to this border city.
I was there for two days and enjoyed this welcome break from the city's woes. The streets downtown are clean and decorated and teeming with people and the riverfront looks like something out of a movie with tiny planes zooming through and around floating pylons in front of the stunning Detroit skyline. I'm expecting James Bond to parachute out of the sky at any moment!
