RAWA reports:
Based in lawless border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Mehsud was tipped off by ISI, to enable him escape attempts to capture or kill him in the last two years.
Baitullah Mehsud, the chief of Pakistani Taliban, who claimed credit for the recent deadly attack on a police academy near Lahore, has links with the country’s Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI), a media report said.
Baitullah Mehsud
Based in lawless border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, Mehsud was tipped off by ISI, to enable him escape attempts to capture or kill him in the last two years.
Several operations were launched by Pakistani security forces in the last couple of years to kill or capture Mehsud, who is also suspected to have hand in the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, the news magazine noted. But each time he vanished without incident.

Baseless propaganda. A huge majority of Pakistanis believe he is an agent of CIA and Indian RAW and has nothing to do with ISI or Taliban.

Not so baseless, hussain, but I do expect you to defend your country and your government regardless of the evidence.

'No so baseless.' You may be right but the recent events justify my point. Recently it has been reported that Pakistani intelligence service twice informed the US forces in Afghanistan about whereabouts of the man but they did not act. After publication of these reports, it was reported a week or so ago that a coordinated action is going to be taken to kill or capture him but that action is yet awaited.

I know it is difficult for the people, relying on media reports sitting thousands of miles away from Pakistan, to believe what I have stated but the recent happenings in my country have made me to believe this.

Sorry Rene. but I will have to back Hussain on that too. American drones have been observed by Pakistan air force forward observers doing unexpected detours while flying through the tribal areas apparently avoiding the areas which were later on rumoured to be where Mehsud held his video and telephone conferences with western media.
Since ISI chief is visiting USA these days I am sure he will bring up this oddity to the US administration. No baseless hearsay but I expect you to defend your government and your country regardless what I and other say.

what do American drones have to do with it? nothing like trying to divert attention.
What is more blatant than this accusation?
