A parties party:

If Tuesday was an introduction to your Uncle's Democratic party, then Wednesday night was the boisterous after party, complete with an all-star cast of left-wing speakers.

John Kerry, Evan Bayh, Chicago’s infamous Mayor Daley, Vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden and the creme de la creme, Bubba himself.

A Steven Spielberg, Tom Hank short film "reminding" us of just what exactly is at steak in this election. Shocking.

And finally . . . An appearance by the Barackstar himself, the cool, confident boy from Hawaii who just moments before had officially become the first non-white to head a Presidential Ticket in the grandest democracy of them all. The United States of America. Stange.

The Clinton factor:

Although the manner in which former President Clinton is able to captivate audiences, and did so captivate the 08 DNC deserves an entire page and quite possibly even more. President Clinton however is a bonafide rock-star and will surely have throngs of blogs, articles and NowPublic postings all dedicated to his eloquent speech at this year’s Democratic National Convention, so I digress.

On this the third day of Democratic Shmoozefest 08, 1 speech flew under the radar well still maintaining its directive. 1 speech held enough common sense, enough respect for the issues and an overflowing passion to change the direction of America.

Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina’s magnificent oratory on the topic of the greatest generation’s selfishness and America’s new direction, although all too short is one speech from this year’s DNC worth taking a moment for.

If you were not amongest the privileged few to have witnessed this speech in "real" time I apologize for not being able to locate the video. However the transcript is available @ http://www.thestate.com/dnc/story/504372.html

mr.zoltanblack, I like this story. It's good stuff. It is always nice to get good press for South Carolina and Congressman Clyburn.  He is a great guy.  He had some real issues with Pres Clinton.  I am sure he is glad that the Clinton's are out of the picture.
