Report of two armed intruders at a Shepparton primary school

 A primary school in the town of Shepparton, Victoria was shut down on Friday when intruders broke into the school at 5:30am.

Two men were arrested at Guthrie St Primary School early into the morning. They told police that there was another two men inside the school armed with guns. A critical response team, negotiator and a police dog were sent to the school.

Early in the afternoon the police gave it the all clear.

Police now believe that the intruder fled the scene when the two others were arrested.

The scare started when officers pounced on two burglars at the school at 5.30am.

The arrested men, both in the 20s, told police other intruders remained on the grounds.
