Gov_ Janet Napolitano of AZ comes to Reno and Speaks to the Students For Obama UNR chapter in support of Barack Obama part 2

Arizona governor Janet Napolitano is set to be selected by Barack Obama as the position of Secretary of Homeland Security, a new position created by the Bush Adminsitration and presiding over the most rapidly created massive government institution in history.

Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano is "under consideration" by President-elect Barack Obama's administration for the relatively new role of Secretary of Homeland Security, CBS News has learned.

Napolitano's office would not confirm reports in the media that she had agreed to accept the position.

Napolitano, a two-term governor who came out early in support of Obama's White House run, said Wednesday that she was not looking for another job.

The Democratic governor has been frequently mentioned in speculation about Obama's Cabinet.

Napolitano was asked about her intentions during her weekly availability with reporters Wednesday.

She said she's "not campaigning nor seeking a job" and that she likes the one she has.
