The Republican Party's Tent is Shrinking
The Republican Party tent continues to shrink. The two largest minorities in this country, Latino and African Americans, for the most part do not feel included in their party and almost never vote republican. White professionals are generally turned off by the Republican party's stances on women's rights, gun control and their everlasting intolerance of peoeple that are "different."
The constant hate and the arrogance with which they put forth their opinions are tired and old. The party is so weak they can't even overcome the "liberal media." Offering up so called leaders like Sarah Palin shows how inept they are at providing real leadership. Let's hope the Republican party shrinks so much that no one can see or hear them anymore. I'd like to see stories that don't include Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich and Dick Cheney.
The Republican party's attempts to reach out to others are disingenuous and feeble. Their party base consists of white elitist conservatives and poor white people who cling tightly to their guns and bibles. If this shrinkage continues, not only will Barack Obama be elected to a second term, both houses of congress will be the primary domain of the Democratic party. Keep it up Republican party!
