Republican Suggests Taliban-Like Insurgency to Disrupt Congress
Republican Representative Pete Sessions of Texas:
"Insurgency, we understand perhaps a little bit more because of the Taliban," Sessions said during a meeting yesterday with Hotline editors. "And that is that they went about systematically understanding how to disrupt and change a person's entire processes. And these Taliban -- I'm not trying to say the Republican Party is the Taliban. No, that's not what we're saying. I'm saying an example of how you go about [sic] is to change a person from their messaging to their operations to their frontline message. And we need to understand that insurgency may be required when the other side, the House leadership, does not follow the same commands, which we entered the game with."
According to the article, the remarks were said to represent attempts by Mr. Sessions to suggest " .... that the Republicans need to start thinking about how to act strategically from their perch in the minority.", believing Democrats have not been bi-partisan.

For starter, what a disturbing image for Rep. Session to liken Republicans to the Taliban, of all people on earth, who are oppressive toward women in particular and used terror to force people to comply to their belief system.
Does Rep. Session think that partisan divisiveness is the only way to appeal to the American public ?? Did he not just witness the presidential election when the American people sent a loud and clear message to all politicians, especially Rep. Session's party to stop being obstructionist and divisive?

So the strategy is to be even less bi-partisan and keep the country in a downward spiral? Did I get the gist of this correct?

Well, that's what I got from it but, I guess, only he knows what he meant.
