Peoples Protest against their governments in North Africa and the Middle East (the Arab) countries is spreading fast. The demands of the people of these countries are almost unanimous. The key questions are liberation, freedom, democracy, problem of corruption and unfair wealth gaps between the rich and the poor.

The constitutional set up of these countries had remained ancient and or religious in history and the type of governance more of monarchic. Liberation, freedom, democracy had been covered with these constitutional set up for long. It had even impacted as blockage and barrier for democracy to prevail in the rest of Sub-Sahara African countries.  Now it has come time to break down these governances and these must be supported by democratic countries and peoples of the world suffering from such type of governance.

This revolution in the Arab World should not be observed negatively. Liberation, freedom and democracy bring new thinking, creativity, innovation and better world. The consequent new thinking, freedom and democracy may dissolve suspicions between Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It may also be the best solution for the friendly livelihood of Israel and the Arab World. Who knows?

Currently, the world trade pattern is moving clockwise. But the fact that the barrier in the Arab world is cleared, the trade pattern may be in every direction fastening the economic integration and development of the world; especially helping Africa to integrate with the rest of the world and develop faster than ever. It is impossible to bring economic development and better life in the world working with people whose heart rebelled.

Politically, if the revolution in the Arab World is supported in favour of the people, it would definitely prove peoples power and be a good lesson for leaders of the world to be responsible and accountable to their people leading to better world and life.

Revolution is different from spontaneous uprising.Mere changes of faces is not revolution. An outburst of anger against ruling elites without an alternate agenda of governance won't set the social ,and economic, political order right. The existing social, economic and political system must be destroyed root and branch, that is revolution.Best examples are Cuba and Venezuela. What I suspect is that in the long run,Egypt will have another Hosni Mubarak,Libya another Qaddafi.Democracy, freedom, pursuit of happiness for ordinary men and women has never been an agenda of any government whose major job has been to protect interest of oligarchs, corporations and war contractors(called defense contractors).I don't see any better prospects for Egyptians and Libyans,Tunisians and Yemenis.I wish I am terribly wrong.

Dear Mr T K Kidwai, how are you these days

Dont you think the movement in the Arab World is like Tsunami! I think, it can be termed as revolution than uprising or turmoil.

Changing one dictator with another is, of course, meaningless. But I dont think it would be like that. See the Egyptian checking the current military council. If it defaults, they will overthrow it again!

It is up to the people to control and check their agent!
