RI President receives Brazil`s counterpart

Brazil`s president was expected to be received in a state function at the State Palace here Saturday at 10 a.m. local time.

Brazil`s president is accompanied by a 68-member entourage including Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, Minister for Presidential Staff Dilma Rousesseff and Minister for Industrial Development and Foreign Trade Edmundo S Fujita.

Before arriving at the State Palace, Brazil`s president and entourage visited the Kalibata hero`s cemetery in South Jakarta.

Following the welcome ceremony, the two leaders were slated to hold a one-hour meeting before witnessing the signing of memorandums of understanding on education, technical cooperation on fuel oil production and agreement on visa free facility for diplomatic ties and passport services.
