Rielle Hunter Speaks Out: John Edwards' Mistress Talks To GQ
Rielle Hunter, The Mistress Of Former Senator John Edwards, Speaks Out
Rielle Hunter, the mistress of former Senator John Edwards, gave an exclusive interview titled "Hello, America, my name is Rielle Hunter" to GQ Magazine talking about her relationship with Edwards. Hunter openly admitted that she is not engaged to Edwards, despite still being in love with former Senator. In early February, it was reported that John Edwards proposed to Hunter and bought a $3.5 million mansion for his mistress. Hunter denied being engaged and living in a property bought by Edwards, but confirmed that Edwards pays child support.

In her interview, Hunter addresses the infamous sex tape that was allegedly obtained by Edwards' other former aide Andrew Young. The couple is now in a bitter legal fight with Young about the tape and the affair cover-up.
Hunter says she remained low-profile about her relationship with Edwards because she wanted him to take the action on their relationship and his "dysfunctional" marriage. Hunter did add that she was not the "predator" that everyone thinks of her for having ruined an already wrecked marriage.
Hunter also makes a point about not getting paid for the interview with GQ. She says she did not want to "cash out" on her story. At the same time she talked about the so-called "hush money" that she was alleged to have received in exchange for keeping quiet about her relationship with Edwards. She maintained that the money was a "gift," and never the "hush money."
Edwards' mistress reiterated her love for former Senator, saying "We love each other very much... and I believe that will be till death do us part. The loves doesn't go away. It's unconditional."
Edwards admitted the paternity of Hunter's child Frances Quinn Hunter back in January. Shortly after, Edwards and his wife of more than 30 years Elizabeth Edwards legally separated.
