Pegasus was a tropical exploration rig I worked in the Persian Gulf in the early1970's.
It was owned by a Yank company but on hire to the Japs.
On completion of each 'hole' the legs were 'jacked up' and the rig bobbed up and down like a cork until tugs towed it to the next location and the whole drilling operation was repeated ad infinitum.
Tiny by comparison to todays gigantic affairs but it was our home and workplace just the same!
