The BMC Farina range used to seem like a more conservative, staid version of the lean and elegant Peugeot 404, also styled by Mr Farina. Today, it seems quaint and charming. I rarely see a Riley, Wolseley or MG Magnette version but still spot the odd Morris Oxford or Austin Cambridge on the road. While reading about the di Tella variants, I learned that Hillman Avengers were once sold as Volkswagens (scroll to the bottom of that page) in Argentina. Now that is weird.
