In what may be the most ironic example of national trauma bonding, Israel's government has policies that have become morbidly reminiscent of Nazi Germany's.
For example:
" [urging] Israelis to report the particulars of acquaintances living abroad ...who are 'in danger' of marrying non-Jews... Campaign organizers ...are calling on Israelis and Jews to enlist to prevent the 'strategic national threat' posed by [miscegenation and] assimilation."
In short, the "Chosen People" are being urged to emulate the "Master Race" and prevent a national threat by preserving their racial identity; a situation which, in compounded irony, depends on reporting Jews to the appropriate authorities.
See Amnesty International's Report on Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories for further details.
Israel was founded by refugees from and survivors of the incipient ills now being inflicted on the Palestinian people. It is sad that, in creating its Volksgemeinschaft, the Israeli apple has fallen so close to the Nazi tree.

This is a another example of hate reporting. Read the whole article idiot. Also, full of lies, half-truths and the same anti-Semitic canard. Everytime we think that we have lost the few haters on Now Public another one surfaces its ugly face. People on this site for the most part are way too hip to your propaganda.

Actually, no, this piece is not hate reporting; nor is it specious in any way.
I asserted my premise- that the aforementioned parallels exist- based on known facts and reliable sources. I did not assert that the Nazi Germany or Zionist Israel are equivalent in their humanity; similarities are not a measure of equality.
Likewise, at no point did I defame the Jewish people themselves; I only take issue with the policies of the Israeli government. To accuse me of antisemitism on that basis is akin to accusing somebody of being racist against Chinese people for criticisms of China's communist regime.
The fact is that I am pointing out the ironies caused by a national government whose policies have been condemned as a violation of international law by multiple countries and humanitarian organizations.
Those who so easily dismiss this article because its premise- however politically incorrect- offends them should refocus their attention on the root causes of the sadly ironic parallels that I have drawn.
Misdirecting outrage to the messenger because the message is unpopular has never helped any society progress.

Interesting piece, I too am anti zionist. The state of Israel is built on theft, and goes against Jewish scripture. So the news of Israels "army rabbies" is pretty disturbing and funny in an ironic kind of a way.
