In an
exclusive interview with Politico, RNC Chairman Michael Steele grabbed his ankles, bent over and said he's sorry for his remarks about Republican talk show host and drug criminal Rush Limbaugh. "My intent was not to go after Rush – I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh," Steele groveled. "I was maybe a little bit inarticulate.."
"I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking," he said. "It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people ... want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not."
Responding to criticism by recently-elected RNC chairman Michael Steele, talk show host
Rush Limbaugh tore into the party's leader, contending that Steele is actually "not the head of the Republican Party," cautioning that the chairman is off to a "shaky start." Limbaugh was charged with a felony drug crime in 2006, but was not prosecuted via an agreement to get treatment.

"Drug criminal"?
We call this "sensationalism".

Roy, it happens to be a felony to doctor shop in Florida in order to get multiple prescriptions of controlled substances, that's exactly what Rush did with his Oxycontin habit. This has been thoroughly documeted and I included a link.
Perhaps that doesn't fit your stereotypical view of a drug criminal, but let's not wear blinders when rich folks commit crimes.
