Robert Barker Used BB Gun to Force Boy to Run Sprints: Mug Shot
Robert Barker Was Arrested in Leesburg Florida Over the Weekend After He Forced a Boy to Run Wind Sprints Using a BB Gun
The relationship to the boy is not known, but Barker was arrested and charged with child abuse after neighbors called the police saying Barker was forcing a boy under the age of 16 to run wearing full football gear.
MyFoxOrlando reports that a neighbor had called the police saying they saw Barker shooting at the boy and they claimed that he was making him run because he had failed to finish his football game earlier in the day. The boy told the police that he never saw Barker point the gun at him, but Barker did tell them that he did fire it up in the air.
The boy had apparently suffered a concussion a few weeks ago and although had been cleared to play, felt dizzy during the game and did not finish.
According to the report, the boy said he never actually saw Barker point the gun at him while he completed the 10 sprints.
The heat index in Leesburg was 107 degrees at the time of the incident, the report said.
Some reports say that Barker was the boy's stepfather.
