Robert Dewey Hoskins, Jailed for Stalking & Threatening Madonna, Escapes from Mental Hospital

54-year-old Robert Dewey Hoskins, who had been sentenced to 10 years in prison for stalking Madonna and threatening to kill her bodyguard, has escaped from a mental institution.

Released from prison in 2006, Robert Dewey Hoskins left Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, where he had been ordered to stay after a subsequent run-in with police.

Police consider Robert Dewey Hoskins to be "very psychotic man" with "very violent tendencies" when he's off his meds.

Hoskins was shot by a Madonna bodyguard in the 1990s. He stalked her around California and reportedly threatened to cut her “from ear to ear” if she didn’t agree to marry him. He was arrested May 1995.
