Newly selected President Obama by the Bush Administration to carry on their crony polices dating as far back as the Reagan Administration..has old time pal Robert Michael Gates as the continued pick and choice for the job as Secretary of Defense...

He took over after the disgraced Donald Rumsfeld then head as Sec.of Defense was identified as one of the chief sponsors of torture after he President Bush and VP Cheney fabricated the lie to go to War into Iraq and Afghanistan which killed thousands of innocent people.

Gates at one time was a pick to head up the Director of the CIA in 1987. He withdrew his name when it was clear the Senate would not confirm him..due to his involvement in the Reagan Iran Contra for Arms Scandal.

...Let's conclude that Saddam tried to reclaim Kuwait because of what Reagan and Robert Gates did giving arms to Iran. Pretty simple logic here. America first supports Saddam with Military Equipment and WMD to fight Iran....And then Reagan who was suppose to be on good terms with Iran because he secured the release of hostages at the end of Jimmy Carter's term, then concocted a way to sell arms to Iran without telling Congress and the Senate and divert profits for arms sales to fund the Contra Rebels in Nicaragua.

Think maybe Saddam had a real beef about that? Think maybe the US caused this reaction of war? Think that this caused Saddam to ultimately get really pissed because so many of his men died in the War the US was supporting him to fight against Iran, and now the US supplies arms to his enemy. 

I would be as furious. And these toilet-seats they call men who have jobs such as the Secretary of Defense...Robert Gates is still injecting his poison around the world...with his lies, and murdering campaign to expand into Afghanistan. They do nothing to this SOB. Obama hires him on to be his SOD...talk about a ridiculous mob of gangsters they call a government....

G.H. Bush (after the Reagan Scandal slipped off into the charters of history), nominiated him again for the post. Many people also knew G. H. Bush was involved with the Iran Contra Scandal and Gates was actually quoted in newsparer articles his support for the coverup.

 In 1984, as deputy director of CIA, Gates advocated that the U.S. initiate a bombing campaign against Nicaragua and that the U.S. do everything in its power short of direct military invasion of the country to remove the Sandinista government. The evidence developed by an Independent Counsel didn't warrant an indictment of Gates for his Iran-Contra activities or his responses to official inquiries. Why? Because Independent Councils are far from being Independent.

Gates the subject of an Independent Counsel's investigation... intensified in the spring of 1991 as part of the Iran/contra activities of CIA officials; the investigation was side-tracked in May 1991, when President George H.W. Bush nominated Gates to be Director of Central Intelligence (DCI). The chairman and vice chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) requested, in a letter to the Independent Counsel on May 15, 1991, any information that would “significantly bear on the fitness” of Gates for the CIA post. Bush promptly nominated him....to make him appear creditable than the obstructionist he really was.

Gates consistently testified that he first heard on October 1, 1986, from Charles E. Allen, the national intelligence officer who was involved in the Iran initiative, that proceeds from the Iran arms sales were diverted to support the Contras. Other evidence proves, however, that Gates received a report on the diversion during the summer of 1986 from DDI Richard Kerr.

The investigation was substantially completed by September 3, 1991, at which time Independent Counsel determined that Gates' Iran-Contra activities and testimony did not warrant prosecution. Rather its a similar scenario and outcome to investigations of corruption that these punk politicians practice in Washington. One only need to see the comparison to the lies to go to war in Iraq and Afghanistan , and the torture evidence Obama refuses to prosecute on.

The so called Independent Counsel made this decision subject to developments that could have warranted reopening an inquiry, including testimony by Clair E. George, the CIA's former deputy director for operations. At the time Independent Counsel reached this decision, the possibility remained that George could have provided information warranting reconsideration of Gates's status in the investigation. George refused to cooperate with Independent Counsel and was indicted on September 19, 1991. George subpoenaed Gates to testify as a defense witness at George's first trial in the summer of 1994, but Gates was never called.

We can see how Gates has no creditability, especially in concern to issues about Iran, and working out real deals to resolve the nuclear development issues in the Middle East. He is a complete conflict of interest to any of his work, because it still revolves around deleting and eliminating information from the Iranian side in concern to the Reagan Scandal. If they can wipe out Iran and continue their campaign to make Iran look bad...they believe he will be exonerated from the Reagan blunders and coverup which he supported in the name of US Security.

Presently Gates is airing information over VOA.. Voice of America Radio...how there will be no secret deals made with Iran or a change to the security arrangements with the US in gettting Iran to giveup its' Nuclear Ambitions.. He wants to suggest that US friends and people in the region will continue to benefit from American support....which we know is really US occupation and oppression in the region.

President Obama is building an impressive record of having incompetent people run his administration, which the majority are old Reagan, and Bush outlaws..

If they want creditabilty and real open handshakes and friendships, then Gates needs to resign and step down, and not allow his past Iran-Contra involvement affect this new relationship in the Middle East with Iran. Obama should be asking for his resignation, and the Democrats should be chastised for allowing this guy to fill in for Rumsfeld.

I believe there are people who can do a better job than Gates, and change the Nuclear Issue of its association to arms and bombs and electricity generation to the New World Nuclear Space E. T. (Energy Technology for Space Travel).

So far, North Korea agrees with me, and other responsible governmental bodies that nuclear technology can be used for air travel to power space ships....from a World Wide National Atomic Universal Space Commission. We encourage working together and believe no country holds a mandate to nuclear research for space travel. We believe in stopping the threats toward each other and working toward the new frontier.

As far as Afghanistan....they should remove troops and allow the Afghanistan Taliban their right for an independent State. This means no Oil for US markets...which the US media will not admit is the real reason to the War on terroil. Obama the new Liar in Chief has yet to end the occupation of Iraq, and has renigged on his campaign promises... to include closing down Guantanemo, and bringing forward prosecution to those who authorized torture. and the operation of rendition camps...
