Robert Mayday has been caught after a bank robbery and carjacking in Bloomingdale, Illinois earlier today:

Bloomingdale Police have confirmed that fugitive Robert Maday was caught in West Chicago this afternoon after robbing a bank in Bloomingdale this morning.

Robert Mayday is an armed suspect and is currently on the run after a bank robbery and carjacking in Bloomingdale, Illinois this morning, after he disarmed two police officers and escaped custody a day ago. 

The FBI are involved and are on the scene of the bank robbery at a First American Bank branch.

Mayday also carjacked a woman's car after she stopped when she saw a man sitting on the curb, and as she opened the door, Mayday approached her with a gun and she have him her car. She was unharmed.

A man matching Maday's description was spotted later Friday morning in a 2006 grey Chrysler 300 traveling eastbound on Illinois highway I-290, police told WFLD.

There are also reports that Maday was seen in the area carrying McDonald's and Taco Bell bags


Police believe that Mayday is wearing a white baseball cap with black lettering with a green shirt and light blue jeans.

If you see him, call 911, as he is considered dangerous.
