Is Robin Roberts a Lesbian? Speculations after Obama Interview

Speculation that ABC's Robin Roberts is a lesbian arose after her interview with President Barack Obama on gay marriage.

Robin Roberts is not a lesbian. Although not married, the White House chose the ABC reporter to do the interview with Barack Obama because she a is respected journalist who knows both Barack and Michelle Obama. "The White House went with Robin because of her personal rapport, their friendship, the past interviews — but also her race [African-American], even her age,” one producer at ABC said to POLITICO of the 51-year-old Roberts. “There is a very strong, very basic connection there.

Jeffrey Schneider, senior vice president of communications at ABC News, told TPM it was because, "Robin is a very thoughtful interviewer, whose style is perhaps more conversational than confrontational, but she sure makes a lot of news with that approach."

By giving the interview to an African-American and Christian — two groups whose opposition to same-sex marriage has been significant — the White House may have been aiming to make Obama’s announcement more palatable to groups that differ with his support for gay marriage. (Christianity has long played a central role in Roberts’s life — she has credited her success to her parents’ emphasis on the three “D’s”: Discipline, Determination and “De Lord.”)

Contrary to the opening sentence of the article, Robin Roberts absolutely is a lesbian. It is well known in Washington Circles that President Obama wanted to make his announcement to a prominent gay journalist so it came down to either Anderson Cooper or Ms. Roberts. And no, I am not outing Ms. Roberts as she has never denied her sexuality and openly attends social events in Manhattan and Washington with her partner. Same holds true for Mr. Cooper by the way.

You can look at Robin Roberts and see she's GAY. Same for Anderson Cooper, Oprah and Rachel Maddou. Maybe the President will come out as the 1st openly GAY President after he's elected to his 2nd term. Some say Michelle Obama is gay also.

Willard Mitt Romney, like his father will not make it to the White House. And like his father in 1964, he needs to show his tax records: his father gave one-half a million dollars to the Morman Chruch back then, How much has Willard passed off as a mere member since? Did you know when he married they opened the temple just for his wedding on a day the church was to be closed.. also only paying tithe members were allowed in back then. All of us recall high school, esp babyboomers: Willard was a gay basher, and anyone out of media sees this clearly. 5yrs ago or 45 yrs ago: it's all yesterday in the human mind. No one forgets the cruel people of yesteryear. So is Willard a liar or has he the start of dementia; either one is scary in the White House. Politicians are a stupid lot. Slick and Stupid. On Robin: My guess is Robin is gay, so what; she's great and has laid down her wonderful morals before her, demonstrating that most gays are great people; just like most straights are. I do wish she'd speak out though for posterity, like so many courageously do that have no fame. I wish her and her partner/mate well. But like Willard 'ain't' fooling the masses; neither is Robin. Big Wink.

What's the matter Marty?....bitter cause your brisk was fouled up. Know your history Marty. Wasn't too long ago that "jews" and "negroes" weren't allowed to marry who they loved. Who cares what Cooper or Roberts are doing with their love life? Live and let love between grown consenting adults flow.
