Rock the Vote Video: No Sex for Those Opposing Health Care
The new Rock the Vote video is asking young people to withhold sex from those who oppose health care reform. "Californication" actress Eva Amurri and "Friday Night Lights" actor Zach Gilford star in this Rock the Vote video, in an attempt to engage the younger audience who are most uninsured in the US, yet not politically engaged. Rock the Vote is a youth political advocacy group.
Rock the Vote's health care page lists actions people can do to push the health care reform. The new campaign video has attracted severe criticism from some, even though the website encourages legitimate political actions, but packaged in a "different" way.
Regardless, the Rock the Vote video is receiving the attention it's hoping to get.
We pledge ourselves to the health and liberty of young Americans. We pledge to educate ourselves and to stand with those who fight for us and against those who do not. We demand health care, and we are willing to hold out for it.

Sex and Politics should remain separate.

The pharmaceutical and health insurance companies, hands in gloves, fountainhead of corporate greed, are opposed to health care reforms.
Idea of "sex embargo' is novel, may work if properly implemented .Even those Law Makers who are opposed to Health Care Reforms may change their stance and support the bill.

I love how people like you are always bitching about corporate greed and how evil capitalism is as you stand in the mile long line around the Mac store popping your Xanax. Without these "evil corporations" you would be sitting in a wooden shack warming yourself by the fire until you head back to your socialist factory job. Get a life and start practicing what you preach.

Are you people serious? If this were such a good bill, why did Dodd get a $100 MILLION for a hospital. Why did Nebraska get Medicare breaks FOREVER? Why did it take $100-300 MILLION for the Louisiana representative? Have you read this bill? Look at page 1020. The gall is unnerving. No future congresses can change or nullify this bill? Transparency my butt. Burn baby burn! Kill the Bill!

In history, sex has been used to manipulate people. I remember an old film version of the Louis L'Amor classic story called "The Sacketts." Orrin was unsuccessfully seduced by the daughter of a powerful bad guy who said, "If you want me, you'll do as my father says." In the book, it didn't play out that way, but the impact of what happened in the film really described how these people operate. They are willing to prostitute themselves to promote something that has no rational value. To me, they appear not too much unlike the prostitutes that I see where I live, just trying to get my money for instant gratification. I know that the people who see this, will know how much it cheapens intimacy incredibly. These people in Washington should vote no. I hope they finally listen to the voice of the American people. This is cheap and it cheapens the truly wonderful relationship that men and women should have with each other.

Why is it that if you are in Hollywood you suddenly become more politically astute then all of the people that have done research on health care, and what has happened to mortality in this country Hollywood has ruined that as well. Just because you can read of a TelePrompter with some conviction (they were you could see their eyes moving) does not mean that you know what you are talking about. Hollywood just because the social norm is to be a bleeding heart lib for no reason, (they aren't even real lib's because if they were they be tolerant of other peoples opinions witch we know they are not they just tell us to bet tolerant of theirs) does not mean you have the right to poison my generation with your vulgarity ,and misguided ways. Health care reform would not only drown this country head first in debt it would lead to rationed care. Women under the health care reform you would not be able to get a mammogram until 50 years old, and we all know that early detection of these things has saved millions of lives. If you like the sound of waiting six months to see a doctor and being turned away at hospitals because there is simply not enough doctors to see you ( Oh yes by the way if the health care reform does go through there will be no incentive to become a doctor any more since they would have to pay an exorbitant amount of money to become a doctor and never make it back on a government program the field of medicine will find it self lacking) then by all means please support this to the end. But if you do have any brain cells floating around in your head , and you think before you vote then take a stand ,and show Hollywood that we run this great nation

What do you know. Mindless drones who have to sell their bodies for votes rather that intelligently debating an issue. Guess we know how Obama was really elected now.
