Rush Limbaugh Marries Kathryn Rogers: Guest List, No Photos
Rush Limbaugh and Kathryn Rogers Held Their Wedding on Saturday June 5 in Florida
After news broke late last week that Rush Limbaugh and Kathryn Rogers were getting married, Limbaugh sent out an e-mail pleading for privacy for him and Kathryn Rogers so they could enjoy their special day together.
No photos from the couple's wedding has been released yet, but a few details and some of the guest list are known.
According to the New York Daily News, the couple married in a Hawaiian-themed wedding party at the Breakers Hotel in Florida and Sir Elton John personally played their wedding reception, which some critics have expressed surprise about given Limbaugh's history of anti-gay comments. Elton John allegedly received $1 million for the gig.
About 50 security guards were put on staff for the event. The wedding ceremony took place at Limbaugh's mansion on the beach and the night before the wedding the couple held a rehearsal dinner luau for about 400 people at the Breakers Hotel.
The guests attending Limbaugh and Rogers’ wedding included the former Bush adviser Karl Rove; actor-politician Fred Thompson; former Kansas City Royals slugger George Brett; Fox News commentator Sean Hannity; former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft; former Clinton adviser James Carville and his wife, GOP analyst Mary Matalin; and golfer Tom Watson.
Photos of the wedding will no doubt be in high demand, but there are some photos of the couple before they were married.
Limbaugh has stated that he will not be back to work until Tuesday June 15 and it is not known if the couple will go on a honeymoon or spend their first days of married life in Florida.
