Russian army officer, Nikolay Zakharkin shouted 'Say goodbye to Dasha and Katya,' before throwing them out of the window from the eighth floor, as their distraught mother watched in horror.
He has been charged with attempted murder of these eight-year-old twins in Moscow. According to reports, he had been drinking heavily prior to the violent outbreak.
The girls survived the fall, cushioned by trees, but one of them is severely injured. She is in intensive care and is on a life support. She may also have an injured backbone, but the spinal cord was not affected, confirmed by the doctor.
Their mother, Irina, had recently moved to Moscow to be with her boyfriend, following a divorce.
The girls' father was too shocked to talk about it.
Passers-by offered first aid to the girls before ambulances rushed them to hospital.

Drugs can really mess up a person. I do hope the girls make a full recovery and that he is send to Siberia for a long time.

My thoughts are with the two lassies, Dasha and Katya. I hope Dasha makes a full recovery. There is a photo of the twins in Sara's link. Wee shame, they look happy.
