When you corner a Bear it will raise its claws and utter the most horrific growl. The question is how hurt is this Bear concerning Georgia and being label the bad guy. Then being threaten plus told to move your troops or else. The Bear was going to do that but the Bald Eagle decided to bullshit and peck furiously to show its power and how pure and white it had made its black soul.

Please read the following story from today Daily Mail

America and Russia were on the brink of a renewed Cold War last night after Russian generals raised the spectre of a nuclear strike on a key Western ally.

With the diplomatic war of words over Georgia reacheding new levels of bitterness, Washington signed an agreement with Poland to build key parts of its ballistic missile defence system - including ground-based interceptor missiles - on Polish territory.

Russia has long opposed America's ambitious missile 'shield' being built on its own doorstep and reacted with undisguised fury to the timing of the announcement.

In an extraordinary outburst a senior general in the Kremlin declared that the move 'could not go unpunished', that Poland was making itself 'a legitimate target'.

Thanks the problem is USA does not understand new Russia and too many restrictions on its new growth conserning the need revenenue from oil are in place. Yes Russia is corrupt but what country is not. US dabbling has changed the cold war to a sharp icy one.

Babel-Fish:

The national symbol of America the -- "American Bald Eagle" -- a nation currently led by none other than the man most like to hate (even myself, at times) when I refer to him as "The Shrub" has being depicted by your goodself, as displaying it's power (political, economic, or militarily) as "pure and white" to cover it's "black soul"!  Am confused?  Are you making reference to a conversion, a reversal, or a deception of its "black soul"?  As for identifying more precisely "POWER - Pure and White", the only thing I have witnessed of action on behalf of the WEST is the delivery of humanitarian aid to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Georgia by America, while Russia claims that we're off-loading military equipment.  Talk about paranoia... the Bear is back from a long hibernation... and throwing it's weight around the neighborhood like the "Big Bully" on the block, threatening and overrunning a small democratic sovereign neighbor state, as if, the reincarnation of Stalin had reappeared in the mindset of Vladimir V. Putin.

Come'on now Babel, your beginning to sound like babel. . . liked the article though, as I had written a piece myself, titled, "Is NATO on the threshold of Failure?" which hasn't got any play assuming that is due to my being new to NP and not entirely knowledgeable of procedures.

Keep up the babel... Babel, as I read everything anyway and please don't take offense to my interpretations’ of your posting -- it isn't personal.

BallyZACA  your view is respected a good citizen journalist should respect critism, lol

Okay i look at your damn article, you have twisted my arm.

I by the way shamefully seeded this Daily Mail article of which I feel very guilty as a citizen journalist i try to make my stuff original but I see you like my own additive

This is total insanity. and all this talk of 'punishing' is totally childish on both sides! What has Poland got to do with Georgia?

Its a tit for tat situation and we are talking about the fright Russia has about the star war plan, why I dont know. possibly because of Russia aggreement with Iran. These old cold war game players are still playing global chess with each other

Sorry, Babel-fish, I disagree. Russia frightened? Give me a break. This whole debacle was childish ploy calculated and scheduled to take away the shine on China's Olympics. Unfortunately for the people killed, homes and cities destroyed, but when has Russia ever truly concerned themselves about that, no matter what they say and spin?

"Russia ever truly concerned themselves about that, no matter what they say and spin?" the people yes the calous leaders no. On the back burner:

Unfortunately for the people killed, homes and cities destroyed (in two wars related to US interest), but when has USA ever truly concerned themselves about that, no matter what they say and spin? The people are but not the calous leaders

Think it wasn't planned? See this piece on the Eurasianet.

I believe that yes Russia was waiting for the attack by Georgia, yes they had troops and made plans etc, to deploy if necessary. No Russia is certainly not squeeky clean, but I do not think the date and time was planned. I do believe that the president of Georgia made a very bad decision because of hatred of Russians and wanted to rid them from Georgia's borders where two clusters of Russians Georgian decided to annex themself.

The president of Georgia set everthing in motion, this war was not to do with taking focus off of the Oylpics. The games are still on all the media outlets and I would expect have great viewing stastics. If anyone believes this Oylpics conspiracy thing then they are not thinking logically. But of course the view has to respected.
