The Art of Crack
By Barry Artiste, Now Public Contributor
They say Artists suffer for their Art. Crack Addict’s die for their Art.
What you will see will never grace the walls of the Louvre in Paris, or Metropolitan Gallery of Art.
The saying that once an artist is dead their Art appreciates in value, well what your seeing is Crack Art drawn or painted not on expensive canvas, but on the feces, blood stained and urine soaked walls of dozens of Crack Dens.
Rest assured most of these artists are in fact dead or dying, they've paid your
admission fee to this Art Gallery with their lives.
What I am showcasing here is a compilation I am calling a Crack Art Gallery, photos I have personally taken over the years from previous drug busts from various Crack Dens from Montreal, Seattle to Vancouver.
The subject matter of their art from coast to coast is eerily similar of what goes on in the mind of these Artists, one vision of art is common a “Skull Death Head”.
You should know many of these Art works were not painted with expensive paints and charcoal, many were done with bodily fluids, cigarette ash and markers.
"Welcome to my world" and a very, very few sad images of dozens of photos I have collected over the years and will now post here. This is an Art Gallery I have to witness in my profession.
