Russsian Newspaper Defiant in Wake of Murdered Journalist Verdict

The headline of Russian Newspaper, Novaya Gazeta reflected a defiant tone. The paper proclaims, 'We Are Not Afraid'.
The killers have no fear because they know they will not be punished. But neither are their victims afraid, because when you defend others you cease to fear. Those today who are fearful are the people who keep out of trouble, trying to survive these bad times, when the bad times (for some reason) never seem to end.
The paper was reacting to the acquittal of 3 men accused in the murder of one of the paper's journalists Anna Politkovskaya. Politkovskaya was a fierce critic of the Russian Government.

This case is so convoluted and confusing that it is really hard to make any sense of it, especially that two of the accused were ethnically Chechen. I doubt they will ever figure out who the true murderer(s) was(were).
