President Mbeki said the South African and Indonesian governments need to promote their economy to their respective businesspeople.
President Mbeki said that in the case of a number of obstacles facing the two nations, both governments need to take comprehensive steps in overcoming the problems.
He also pointed to the promotion of global trade serving as an umbrella of the global business sector.
He underlined the need for also considering aviation cooperation. He said aviation played an important role in exploring cooperation opportunities on people-to-people basis.
"If it is easy to visit the two countries, it would be much easier to find cooperation potentials," he said.
In the meantime, President Yudhoyono said there are three steps which need to be taken in boosting cooperation between the two countries.
Firstly, both governments need to issue effective business policies, regulations and mechanisms on expanding economic cooperation.
Secondly, the private sector needs to be more active in making approaches in seeking business opportunities which might be undertaken and developed.
And thirdly, providing a support system like banks and transportation facilities like air and land transportation means.
