Officials in Kazakhstan say that they have found the oldest woman in the world, and she is about to turn 130 this week. If she is 130, then she will be 16 years older than the current oldest woman in the world.

Sakhan Dosova has ten children and was born March 27 1879. She says the secret is to stay away from sweets and avoid going to the doctor, however she does enjoy cheese and yoghurt.

Her age was discovered when she attended a census in Karaganda in northern Kazakhstan and officials realized that she also attended Stalin's first census in 1926, when it was listed that she was 47.

Some have raised doubts about her age.

"I don't have any special secret," she said. "I've never taken pills and if I was ill, I used granny's remedies to cure me.

"I have never eaten sweets, I don't like them. But I love kurt (a salty dried cottage cheese) and talkan (ground wheat)."

Gaukhar Kanieva, 42, her grand-daughter, said: "She is a very cheerful woman. We think laughter and her good mood helped her live so long."

In 1879, Queen Victoria has 22 more years to reign, and Benjamin Disraeli was the prime minister. Stalin and Einstein were born in 1879 and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle published his first novel. The light bulb was also invented that year.

I am not sure about this, since our DNA can not achieve such age or rather our cells, the Bio clock max for our cells is 120 after wish all die or self destruct. Yet who know, maybe we have mutation here or a mistake in the Birth certificate.

120 years is more of a mean average than a definate date; each person is different, although, as you said, it could be a random mutation..  You are referring to Haystacks Theory., correct?

She was 33 years old when the Titanic sunk, unbelievable !!!.

I wonder if she passed her driving test?

I expect her age was listed as 47 instead of 17 on the census in 1929.

Does this woman defy the age limit in the bible given by God  to all the people after the flood?

Never forget that the most healthy people of the world live in the caucasian arrea. Cheese and yoghurt, not much meat to eat and, most of all: no special worries about how to build up a career. If you live naturally and have the chance to not be sick a lot, you will have the chance to live longer than the average.

But, as Rabbi Cohen told: "If you do not drink, do not run after women and do not smoke your life, even if not longer than the others' life, will seem to be an eternity..."
