Indian Cricket Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, 29, and His Girlfriend Sakshi Singh Rawat, 21, Are Now Engaged

According to the Hindustan Times, the couple got engaged in a secret ceremony in a resort near Dehradun and now one of India's most eligible bachelors is off the market.

The couple met in 2007 and despite Dhoni's connection to other ladies over the years, the couple were able to maintain a low profile and let their relationship grow. They reportedly met when Sakshi was promoting her film Race at Bipasha Basu's house in Mumbai and their families already knew each other.

It is rumored that he even cut his hair because she didn't like him with such long hair.

According to a person who was present at the venue, she wore a lemon coloured sari on the occasion. He wasn’t spotted till the time of going to press.

Media was not allowed into the venue. Only close family and a few members of the Indian cricket team — including Ashish Nehra and Harbhajan Singh — were present.
