I was visiting a family, who lives on a boat on the Endeavour River near Cooktown. The lady came to fetch us in a dingy and after a few hours, when we had to go home again, she took us back to the shore. While doing so, she pointed to one of the sandbanks in the river. "Look", she said:" there he is. He is here always at the same time, basking in the sun. He is an old male croc.". For me it was exciting, because during all my holidays in Oz I'd never seen one single crocodile. And now finally at last...!
I am sorry, but this was not the croc who recently killed a man.
I got the whole sad story from my daughter who lives near Cooktown. If you want to read that you may go to my blog: http://readerwil.blogspot.com . I wrote it 2 days ago. It's called " Charly and his mates..

Hi, my name is Chris Maloney and I'm a freelance writer doing a story on crocodile attacks. I just wanted to know if the photo is available for publication. I'm writing the story on spec so not sure where it will be published. Also, do you know about how big the animal is.
I'm a freelance writer in Chicago and I'm interested in your photograph of the crocodile on the bank for publication in a story I am writing. Just wanted to know if it is potentially for sale. I am not sure where it would be published, the article is not quite finished yet.

Hi Chris,
The photo is available, but I am sorry that I don't know how big the animal was. I know that he was old. I hope you can use the picture! Wil
