SAM missiles fired from No-Fire-Zone

LTTE terrorists have reportedly fired surface-to-air-missiles (SAM) at two Sri Lankan Air Force Bell- 212 helicopters, engaged in casualty evacuation operations in general area Puthukudiyirippu today March 25 2009 at around 11a.m.

According to Air Force Spokesperson Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara, the pilots have managed to take the injured personnel into safety from the risk imposed with evasive air maneuvers evading the missile attack. LTTE terrorists have fired the missiles from the government declared No Fire Zone , the Spokesperson said citing SLAF pilots and technical sources.

MULLAITTIVU: TWO Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) helicopters, engaged in assisting evacuation of Army casualties in PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU had a miraculous escape this morning (25) at about 11.00 a.m. when Tigers inside the ‘No Fire Zone’ fired anti-aircraft missiles on them.

Both helicopters carrying injured soldiers however continued their mission despite the barrage of LTTE missiles. Tigers after entering the ‘No Fire Zone’ have been in the practice of directing artillery and mortar fire in the past few weeks, but the troops showed restraint and prevented from retaliatory fire considering the civilian factor.

However, both helicopters with injured soldiers aboard arrived at their destinations as planned. Army.lk

Now it is cristal clear that LTTE activities in the no fire zone and where is this UN and ICRC ( Red Cross ) which operating inside the No fire zone. where is the Navin Pillay which trying to send monitirs to Sri Lanka, before she busy working thosebetter she think how LTTE is violating international law and where these terrorist got sam missiles ?

Red cross always telling about shelling and why they keep silent on these issues,? there are lot of eveidence that these organisations directly support the terrorist organisations.
