Santoum does bad with Catholics and S.C. County GOP says no porn

Rick Santorum is not doing well with Catholics, though he is more conservative in his Catholic ideology, than the pope. That's not a joke, it's a fact. He hasn't won the Catholic vote in any state race. Santorum does well with evangelical Christians, but that is about it.

I have a hard time seeing him getting more than a couple percent of the vote of atheists or even non-theists if he becomes the Republican nominee. This shouldn't be too surprising though, he is far to the right of the average Catholic when it comes to social issues.

Polls have showed a majority of Catholics now support marriage equality for gays and lesbians. Santorum believs that two men having sex, is like someone having sex with a dog. The average Catholic believes birth control is perfectly fine, not so with Santorum though.

Most Catholics are pretty good on supporting union rights, I don't know if Santorum wants any unions, public or private, in America. Most Catholics aren't all that keen on the government increasing obscenity investigations, well Santorum is very eager to unleash the forces of government to do just that.

Oh by the way, the local Republican leaders in a South Carolina county were not going to allow anyone on the ballot last month (until overruled as a violation of the law by state Republican leaders) that didn't sign a pledge. One of the things was never, ever, to view porn. That probably goes for Playboy magazine, but does it for Maxim? What if one views paintings of naked people?

If you had sex before marriage, well, right off the bat you are disqualified. You must of course, despise gays and not allow them anywhere near someone giving them a marriage vow. There is something about a "committment to strength in foreign policy" which seems to be codephrase for keeping military contractors happy with a big defense budget

Now, if these races are just local county races in Laurens County, South Carolina, what difference does their foreign policy positions mean! Last I read, local county leaders, no matter the county, have zero input on the foreign policy of our nation. Sheesh, doesn't matter if it is a national Republican, be it Santorum, or local Republicans, they all want to be in your bedroom.
