Sarah Palin On Fox, Sean Hannity: Blood Libel Explanation Video
Video: Sarah Palin On Fox News, Sean Hannity- Explains Blood Libel Comment And Crosshairs Map
Sarah Palin appeared on Fox News' Sean Hannity show to explain her controversial video response to the Tucson Arizona shootings where she made those now infamous "Blood Libel" comments.
Sarah Palin told Sean Hannity that was using "blood libel" in more secular terms and that it means "falsely accused."
Palin dismissed suggestions that she did not know the historical significance of the phrase, which originated in the Middle Ages with accusations of Jews using the blood of Christians in religious rituals. “Blood libel obviously means being falsely accused of having blood on your hands,” she said, “and in this case that’s exactly what was going on.”
As for the crosshairs map which depicted various Congressional districts (including shooting victim Gabrielle Giffords district) as targets for possible victory during the mid-terms, Palin said the map is not new, and the Democrats have used crosshairs too.
Palin received lower marks for her handling of the tragedy from more Americans than President Barack Obama did, a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Monday found.
Nearly 8 in 10 of those surveyed gave Obama high marks for his response, and 71 percent of Republicans approved of Obama's leadership after the shootings, the Post reported. About 30 percent of those polled approved of Palin's response; among Republicans, her positive marks rose to 56 percent.

Former Temp-Governor Palin is entitled to use the phrase "Blood Libel." She can see Israel from her house.
