CNN TV just announced governor Sarah Palin of Alaska will resign in a few weeks.  No reason or details were given.  There is speculation  it is related to a possible run for president in 2012.

Palin, republican was elected governor in 2006and was  Arizona Sen. John McCain's vice presidential running mate in 2008.Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be sworn in on July 25.

Palin had scheduled a news conference to announce she will not run for reelection but there was no expectation she would quit. She said she has accomplished her main goals. Palin has been considered one of the front-runners for the republican nomination in 2012.

Sarah Palin has announced that she will resign as governor of Alaska and will not seek a second term.

CBS Affiliate KTVA reports that at a press conference this morning Palin said she will resign the governorship within a few weeks.

CBSNews.com producer Scott Conroy, who covered Palin's vice presidential campaign last year, confirmed through a source close to the governor said she is leaving office.

Earlier today, a holiday, Palin sent out an early morning press release indicating that she would be making an announcement from her home in Wasilla.

Joining Palin were her parents, family and state commissioners.

Palin said that power will be transferred to Lt. Governor Sean Parnell, who will be sworn in during the upcoming governor's picnic in Fairbanks.

She did not field questions, and would not give any indications about her future plans.

I'm very pleased that Governor Palin is planning on resigning.  The State of Alaska

deserves a full time governor, and the wolves will sleep much more safely without Palin-supported aerial attack "hunters" savagely destroying their packs.

I'm certain that the Democrats are happy just thinking that Alaska's Miss-information is probably positioning herself for a White House run.  It'll be a rout!

The Lt Governor will keep her policies in place without a law suit at every turn that has no merit.  Notice the MSM did not report that all Palins ethics violations were all dropped without merit costing the Palins nearly 500,000 dollars to defend.  I wonder who the real wolves are in Alaksa

Sarah Palin is a force to be reckoned with. Don't count her out.  She has principles, whether you agree with them or not.  I just listened to her complete speech, without teleprompter or notes.  As  I saw it she talked from the heart.

She quoted General MacArthur who said, We are not retreating, we are advancing in a different direction.

I leave it up to you what that means?

You all that think Sarah Palin has done a great job are blinded by your own stupid y.  She has only express her own personal views and not  that of her constituents the Native Alaskan People.  I know the wolves are happy to see her go, as well as I am.  Na na na na hey hey hey good bye.
