Sarah Palin Target List: Reason Jared Lee Loughner Shot Giffords?
Sarah Palin Reportedly Had Gabrielle Giffords on a Target List
It is unknown at this time why Jared Lee Loughner shot Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, along with about seventeen others, including a chile and federal judge John Roll who died from their wounds.
However, many are drawing the comparison between Sarah Palin's Target List and the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords in Tuscon Arizona today.
Giffords was on the list of people Palin wanted unseated during the midterm elections, and after releasing this map, including Gabrielle Giffords, Palin tweeted, "Don't retreat, instead RELOAD".
We're paying particular attention to those House members who voted in favor of Obamacare and represent districts that Senator John McCain and I carried during the 2008 election," Palin wrote when she released the target list.
As stated before, it is not known why Jared Lee Loughner decided to go on a shooting rampage this morning. He had made a number of YouTube videos mentioning Giffords and her 8th Congressional District, along with a message on his MySpace page that read "Goodbye friends, please don't be mad at me."
Sarah Palin did release a statement on her Facebook page about the shooting today.
Loughner is now being held by police.

The ads are distasteful after the incident, but should not in any way be considered a motive or motivating. That is ridiculous!
at 19:45 on January 8th, 2011
Yes! These ads and those comments of Palin, Sharron Angle and the hatred spewed by the Tea Party should most definitely be considered as a motivating factor. You cannot keep spewing hatred and speak very figuratively about "targeting" members of congress (in crosshairs) simply because they voted FOR healthcare reform!! Weak, nut jobs like Loughner will justify violence in the name of ideaology.
at 09:46 on January 9th, 2011
Loughner's ideology went way beyond Palin, Angle and the Tea Party. He was simply attracted to it because it was the closest main stream option available to him. If a Nazi Party had of been available in the main stream he would have dropped Palin and the Tea Party like dirt.

WHOEVER EQUATES THIS TERRIBLE EVENT WITH SARAH PALIN IS SICKER THAN THE SHOOTER !!! SUGGEST EVERYONE TO PRAY FOR THESE VICTIMS, DON'T FAN FOOLS STATMENTS !! GOD BLESS

They are not sicker than the shooter, but I would call into question their intelligence and if not that, then their partisanship confusing them or using this incident to attack.

You're a pathetic human being.

Sicker than the shooter? Really? While this person would likely have gone off for one reason or another anyway. The need for each side to draw the other as evil and divide people into two groups is not healthy. The political system is toxic and nothing gets done to help the country because each side wants the other to fail more than they want the country to succeed. It is disgusting and it does breed hate.If not for Walmart keeping the masses fat on cheap carbs and glued to cheap TVs, there would have been civil war years ago. There were no Cheetos or Jersey Shore in the nineteenth century.

The ads were not simply "distasteful". They were calls for violence against government officials - calls that have been answered time and time again by the Republican rank-and-file. How many more innocent Americans have to die in terrorist attacks before we go after the leaders of their terrorist network?

A 22-year-old woman in Arizona, Caitie Parker, claimed on her Twitter feed that she went to high school and college with the gunman, and was in a band with him. She described his politics in the past as "left wing, quite liberal, & oddly obsessed with the 2012 prophecy." She also described him as having a lot of friends "until he got alcohol poisoning in '06" and dropped out of school. "Mainly loner very philosophical." Parker described the gunman meeting Rep. Gabrielle Giffords previously: "He was a political radical & met Giffords once before in '07, asked her a question & he told me she was 'stupid & unintelligent.'" www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40980334/ns/us_news-crime_and_courts/from/toolbar

The lefties are always looking to blame personal actions on someone else. Sarah Palin made me do it. LOL.
at 10:06 on January 9th, 2011
It is upsetting that this incident actually just deepens the divide that exists, while Giffords was non partisan. I think Giffords will be appalled when she hears this bull.

Yes. Probably dumbfounded. This blaming Sarah Palin is no different than blaming Rock music or Rapper's for whatever deviant behavior people get up to. This fellow was obviously troubled and drawn to literature and behaviors the likes of Adolf Hitler and Stalin. Who knows what was going on in his mind that would compel him to fire into a mixed crowd of adults and children. What I find interesting is the left are trying to lay his behavior on the Tea Party, and one of Loughner's complaints was rampant partisanship holding back the course of government. Sadly ironic that Giffords is said to exhibit individual thought on political issues.

It's even worse than blaming musicians. At least in those cases you have proof the person actually listened to the musician. I've seen absolutely NOTHING indicating that this guy was a fan of Sarah Palin, or that he ever even saw the silly maps. This is nothing but the main stream media doing all they can to correlate the Tea Party with insanity. Calling them racists didn't really work, so let's make them all seem like crazy, terroristic, murderers!!!

There is nothing here to LOL about thirty-aught-six unless you enjoy laughing when innocent people are killed.

The thing about Palin is there is no logic behind her statements, just a stupid Right Wing belief system that only benefits the hyper rich. If you are some kind of Nut Job incapable of thinking, this kind of BS WILL appeal to you.
at 09:57 on January 9th, 2011
Wow! I'm no fan of Palin, I think she should stick to regional politics. However, Loughner was not stupid, in fact he may have been brilliant. It is obvious he became psychopathic and most psychopaths are highly intelligent. To think he lost it over depictions of cross hairs and right winged rhetoric is nonsense, it goes much deeper than that!

Sarah Palin's main focus has been gleefully using hatespeech since she shimmied on stage with John McCain. The MSM types have not done their jobs in denouncing this hateful woman from the beginning because they were too busy watching how she looks in her skirt.
at 10:16 on January 9th, 2011
I agree Palin is clueless to her own political rhetoric. That danger was brought by John McCain bringing someone that unqualified and unknowledgeable within a breath of the U.S. Presidency. This recent Rep. Gabrielle Giffords shooting and the reasons behind why Jared Lee Loughner shot Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords may go much deeper than anything specific to what Sarah Palin said or even what is known yet. Loughner comments reference 'mindcontrol' and "I know you are listening". These references suggest 'Remote Neural Monitoring' (RNM) and Signals Intelligence (SICINT) data. These are just a few of specific researched government programs designed to read and control mental thought process ( remotely ).

So, this nutbag "made a number of videos mentioning Giffords". Did he make ANY mentioning Sarah Palin, or her silly maps? Then why are we discussing Sarah Palin? Has anyone else, out of the millions of Sarah Palin fans, attempted any assassinations? No? But I thought Sarah Palin caused people to do this with her evil maps. Gee maybe this guy did this because he's utterly BONKERS. Or... maybe I'm crazy...
at 15:31 on January 11th, 2011
We are discussing Sarah Palin because this whole crosshairs targeting thing is an example of her lack of good judgement. She has left herself open to the discussion by the nature of how she does politics - it is irresponsible to be in a position where you can influence people and use "crosshairs", "bullseyes" and encouragement to "re-load". Some might think this is bad luck that she has been brought into this because some crazy decided to shoot this particular Congresswoman, a fact that I am sure is entirely unrelated to Sarah's map. Myself, I think it is another example of her inexperience, lack of thought and just plain stupidity. She is the one who makes herself a target.

Is she being investigated for the murder of Rep. Giffords? She certainly had motive. How do we know she didn't hire this kid? She needs to be questioned by the FBI.
