Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol Palin, gave birth to a 7 lb 4oz son in Alaska on Sunday.  Bristol and her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, named their son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston.  Bristol's aunt Colleen Jones spoke to People Magazine about Tripp's birth:

"The baby is fine and Bristol is doing well. Everyone is excited," Jones told the magazine.

Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee in the 2008 election, revealed during the campaign her 18-year-old daughter was pregnant and that Levi Johnston was the father. The couple have said they plan to marry.

It's risky to name your kid after some unknown bizarre family joke. Most people won't get it, and the kid may suffer for it. But the kid will most likely get attention from it which is obviously

Gramma Sara's overriding mandate. Must have something to do with positioning for the the end of times?

Interesting

Doesn't anyone think that TRIPP and TRIGG are a little too close for comfort re: baby names? Mark my words down the road when somehow there is only one child floating around. I think that Trigg ( the first baby  ) was really the daughters and this is how they hid it . Explains how no one saw that Sarah Palin was prego.

Just something to think about!!!

Palin's father, Chuck Heath, declined to comment Monday, referring questions about the baby to the governor and her husband.

The governor's office, which issued a news release when Palin gave birth to her youngest son, Trig, in April, did not return messages Monday.
