SAVAGE ASSAULT ON 91 yrs old Ivy Fallon.
The old folk are our born surviors, they have come through so much in there time. Of course with age our folk are suffering in one way or another. Some are lucky and have strong family support around their daily lives. Though, the really feeble old souls are being cared for in old people’s homes.
Ivy Fallon 91 was a resident at warden control flats in Southampton Hants. At 2.30am Ivy woke up to the face of a young 15yr old boy. The genteel Ivy screamed as loud as her frail voice could as the young man beat her about the face, one blow after another until Ivy passed out. Ivy said yesterday she woke up and he was leaning over her bed. He told Ivy if you scream I will bash you, Ivy said though she was terrified she screamed like the devil. Shocked and clearly traumatised Ivy remembers the attacker had his hands across her before she passed out. Ivy, after regaining consciousness pressed the panic alarm button. A member of staff Called ensured Ivy was taken to hospital for treatment on her badly bruised face hands and arms Ivy was also in shock.
Nothing was stolen by the intruder so police are baffled as to the reasoning behind such a brutal and dangerous assault on such a helpless old soul. This story makes one feel more than a tad uncomfortable as to what lengths young thugs will go to. Disgraceful disrespect for old seniors is not on. Yet we hear of these kinds of assaults all too often lately. Ivy said she wanted her attacker caught and strung up for what he did to her. The reality may well be that the young boy is sitting at home with respectful and caring parents who have not got the slightest incline that the precious son before them beats up old folks for kicks. Some who have been caught and given prison sentences for their crime were found to be drug addicts. Their have even been sickening reports of old women being raped by young men in old people’s homes. Ivy has for now survived the dreadful assault on her the bruises will fade but will the memories.
I am more baffled than the police as to how anyone could harm and hurt old souls.
The thought comes to my mind in black and white bold print, HEALTH AND SAFETY. Is enough being done to protect our vulnerable members of society, when I read this kind of news all too often ,I always wonder how strong are the healthy and safety laws. Or indeed are they being abided by. Our old people should be protected and cared for with warmth and humour. The ones who stay with family are, but what about all the others. The Banks are more protected than humans, which for me speaks for itself. MONEY BEFORE ANYTHING OR ANY ONE. WHY?

I just read the story of Nurse Haywood a few minutes ago and then coincidentally came across this. Sad comment on the way the authorities are unable to cope with the rampant abuse of the elderly. I certainly hope I pass away before I need to be put away in a place like that.

I canny get ma head round such cruelty toward our pensioners these days. We were brought up not to ever be cheeky to our elders, and to always ask if they needed any errands done. Time those young people respected the elderly.
