Washington, DC – As US President Obama met with Brazil's President Luiz Inacio in the White House on Saturday, hundreds of protesters gathered outside. The protesters came out in the cold and rain in support of David Goldman's efforts to retrieve his son Sean from Brazil.
In 2004, Sean, then 3 years old left America on vacation with his mother to Brazil. Sean's mother divorced her American husband and married a Brazilian. Last year, she died. Instead of being returned to his birth father, the Brazilian courts granted custody of Sean to the mother's new Brazilian husband, Sean's step-father.
