A Scavenger Hunt for Guantanamo Case Files?
Although there has been a forceful thrust by President Obama's new administration for closing the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba prison as quickly as possible, with the president signing an executive order to do so, it seems case files for the suspects are missing or may be non-existent, with former Bush administration officials stating, according to an article in the Washington Post :
" .... the CIA and other intelligence agencies were reluctant to share information, and that the Bush administration's focus on detention and interrogation made preparation of viable prosecutions a far lower priority." .
The prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba has come under even closer scrutiny during the Bush administration as terrorism suspects incarcerated there, the Bush administration refusing to call them prisoners of war, instead labeling them detainees, have been alleged to have been tortured while being held there.

I guess scrutiny was not close enough if all of a sudden case files can not be found. Seems like someone might have been "taken care of business" in secret.

The Justice Department should be responsible for locating these files and I'm sure Mr. Holder will somehow unravel this mess. Thanks for the alerting piece.

You're welcome, Pythiian1.
It can't be ruled out that there wasn't the possibility of a late night 'file maintenance' session, which included the use of a shredder.

You're right about the shredders, but I'm also wondering about the computer records as these cases are considered important, which means somewhere, these cases exist in the database ... Of course, I'm only guessing.
